The Extinction was the almost-total-reset of the civilizations on Earth billions of years ago. Dinosaurs were once the predominant species on the Earth, but that all changed when a huge meteor crashed into the Earth, destroying 99% of the dinosaur population and making all of their advancements and cities into ruins that would never be rediscovered/known about.

It is theorized as a possibility that an alien race threw the meteor into the Earth. There is also evidence that Jalliconarphus, a power raptor wizard from the First Order summoned the asteroid. However, both hypotheses could be true.

The site of the meteor crash is still in debate, as the meteor itself fractured the huge land mass into multiple pieces as it looked like during the Second Order.
